Planning Antalya: city stops, ancient sites and the wider region

Antalya is not a single compact sightseeing stop. Its province has 19 districts, including Muratpaşa, Konyaaltı, Aksu, Serik, Manavgat and Alanya. Choose the area you want to explore before combining places into a day out; this guide does not supply verified journey times between them.

Start with a city visit

Karaalioğlu Parkı offers a city-park stop in Muratpaşa. The municipality describes its viewing areas and public sculptures, including Mehmet Aksoy's Worker and His Son and Kuzgun Acar's Hand. For a meal, 7 Mehmet publishes an address inside Atatürk Kültür Park, while Seraser is on Karanlık Sokak in Kaleiçi. Neither listing is a claim that a table is available: contact the restaurant for reservations and current prices.

Read archaeological-site notices carefully

Perge is in Aksu. Its official visitor notice distinguishes the open archaeological site from the ancient theatre, which is temporarily closed for restoration. Perge's place on UNESCO's Tentative List also differs from full World Heritage inscription. Both distinctions matter when deciding what a visit will include.

Alanya Museum provides a separate archaeology stop in Alanya district. Its collections include sections on seafaring, Herakles, Alanya Castle and coins. The official page listed the museum as open when checked on 14 September 2026; confirm the current hours before travelling.

Plan outdoor visits around current conditions

Köprülü Kanyon Milli Parkı is in Manavgat, with rafting, canyoning and nature-walking activities documented by the regional conservation authority. Free park entry does not mean that commercial activities are free or available without arrangements. Saklıkent in Konyaaltı is a seasonal skiing destination: a usual winter season is not evidence of today's snow or open lifts.

The listings link to official institutions and venues so you can check changing details. Unverified prices, reviews and photos have not been invented. Map pins are limited to coordinates actually published by an official source; a locality address is not silently converted into a guessed entrance.
