About Perge Örenyeri
Perge is an archaeological site in Aksu with ancient-city remains and a stadium described by the museum authority as accommodating up to 12,000 people. It has been on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List since 2009; this is not the same as inscription on the World Heritage List. The official visitor notice says the site is open but its ancient theatre is temporarily closed for restoration. Check the current notice before your visit.
